    A "big bang" towards MolluscaBase

    On February 6-7, Mollusca experts gathered at the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ), host institute of the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS), to discuss a strategy to expand the molluscan component of WoRMS to MolluscaBase. MolluscaBase will be a Global Species Database covering all marine, freshwater and terrestrial molluscs, recent and fossil.

    Call for applications - LifeWatch grants to fill taxonomic gaps in WoRMS

    Through LifeWatch, The Flanders Marine Institute – host of the WoRMS database – has a budget available to financially support editors to address gaps within their group. In 2014, WoRMS has access to a LifeWatch budget of 25.000€ which will be made available to the WoRMS editors through small grants.
