LifeWatch @ Taverna workshop

VLIZ is hosting a technical developers workshop in the framework of BioVel.
Lifewatch
From the 6th till the 8th of October VLIZ is hosting a technical developers workshop organized in the framework of the BioVel (Biodiversity Virtual e-Laboratory) project. Technical staff of several institutions involved in LifeWatch are getting trained in building biodiversity workflows using Taverna. Trainers are Aleksandra Pawlik, Christian Brenninkmeijer and Alan Williams of the University of Manchester. The training should result in a wider implementation of Taverna and the creation of additional workflows for biodiversity data. As part of the LifeWatch marine Virtual Research Environment, a Taverna Server is currently being installed at VLIZ. This will add to the sustainability of the workflows developed during the BioVel  FP7 project and will stimulate their use in marine applications.
