Marine Collaborative Australian Protected Area Database (CAPAD) available in gazetteer
Marine Regions added over 350 protected areas in Australia's state and Commonwealth waters to its database.
The Collaborative Australian Protected Areas Database (CAPAD) 2018 comprises spatial and textual information about protected areas in Australia. In 2018, the ninth version of the marine component of this database was released, with previous releases in 1997, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016. This newest version of the marine CAPAD database contains over 350 off-shore protected areas in both Australia's state and Commonwealth waters. All of these features were added to the Marine Regions gazetteer in collaboration with Australia's Department of the Environment and Energy.
