LifeWatch VLIZ meets Maritime Industry
LifeWatch VLIZ is organizing the very first “LifeWatch Maritime Industry Workshop” on 23 January 2020 at the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) in Ostend.
High quality and long-term data are becoming important building blocks in many projects within the growing blue economy. This is also reflected in the use of LifeWatch’ services and data by industry.
The LifeWatch Maritime Industry workshop will be held as a first and informative meeting between LifeWatch Belgium and Industry stakeholders.
The first part of this workshop will consist of an introduction of the existing LifeWatch data systems and services, followed by presentations on their use.
During the second part of the workshop, the framework of the Maritime Industry Advisory Board (MIAB) will be presented and a first discussion on the expectations and approach of the MIAB will be held. The goal of the MIAB is to gain a better insight into the specific (data) questions of companies and to see how LifeWatch can contribute to these.
Various companies were specifically invited to the workshop, but participation is open to all stakeholders from industry.
