Description
600 marine accepted species were randomly selected from all accepted marine species described in 2013-2017. For each species, a number of metrics were extracted from their original descriptions. These metrics included information on their ecological and geographical origin, the context and method(s) of their discovery, their scientific publications and their authorship.
