Description
As part of this PhD project, 35 rays comprising blonde rays (Raja brachyura; 3), small-eyed rays (Raja microocellata; 26), and undulate rays (Raja undulata; 6) were tagged with Thelma Biotel MP9 acoustic transmitters in Jersey waters between March 2025 and May 2026. Individuals were sampled predominately in shallow coastal waters off the east coast of Jersey using static tangle nets, before tagging and release. This study aims to provide new insights into the movement patterns and connectivity of these data-deficient skate species.
