Tha aim of this database is collecting all the registered data of free-living marine Nematodes species from San Julian bay during January, 2009.
This project proposed to study for the first time the meiobenthos (Nematoda) with the aim to find the degree of disturbance in littoral sand-clay coastal areas of the Ría San Julián. The Ría San Julián has a complex variety of wild environments together with a urban human population that produces seawage and garbage, presently poorly treated. Coastal areas near San Julián city will be contrasted with natural areas of similar oceanographic characteristics. more
The study took place in three localities (mouth, city and El Rincón) and in three tidal levels (high, medium and low)on each locality, so nine sampling sites in total.
