Science Day 2024: Hight-T at Sea

Are you interested in marine research? Or would you like to explore a research vessel? Then head over to the Marine Station Ostend of the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) on Sunday, November 24th – Science Day. Scientists will showcase the cutting-edge technological advancements in marine research.

Did you know, for instance, that researchers use unmanned robots to study climate change? That Europe is working on a digital twin of the ocean to make informed decisions to protect our seas? Or that marine engineers eagerly use 3D printers to create parts for sampling equipment?

LifeWatch VLIZ will, of course, also be present. Discover how they make use of cutting-edge technological innovations. Additionally, children can participate in the WoRMS sea creature scavenger hunt. There's something for everyone!
