European Tracking Network workshop @ ICFT 2019
The European Tracking Network (ETN) is a recently-launched initiative to integrate all European aquatic animal tracking in one network. The overarching objective is to ensure the transition from a loosely-coordinated set of existing national and regional telemetry initiatives scattered in Europe to a sustainable, efficient and integrated pan-European biotelemetry network embedded in the international context of other similar networks outside Europe and the new AtlantOS observing program. This will promote cooperation among researchers and scientific excellence across Europe. It will leverage funding opportunities and support the much-needed advice for EU policies at broader, cross-border scale.
ETN is organising a meeting on June Tuesday 25th at 4.30 pm for which all European participants are welcome, to publicize ETN, inform the community and listen to their concerns, and to welcome new members.
ETN is supported by AtlantOS, LifeWatch and COST.
