Abstract
Written and assembled by an international team of specialists, this book incorporates all the latest information on the green seaweeds of Britain and Ireland (families Trebouxiophyceae and Ulvophyceae), revealing a wealth of diversity. It is fully illustrated with colour photographs and is intended to enable ready identification of all the green seaweeds known from this area (about 100 species). It includes user-friendly keys, diagnostic descriptions, ecological information, and notes for the taxonomic specialist. It is of equal interest to professional scientists and others with an interest in the marine environment.
