Abstract
From 13 february 1988 onward, after a period with severe storms from westerly direction, several warm water oceanic drift objects were washed ashore on the Belgian coast. These included hundreds of floats of Velella velella, cuttlefish bones of four species, a.o. the first record of Sepia berthelothi, and goose barnacles.
