Abstract
Experiments with some Mediterranean copepod nauplii, cultured in the laboratory, were carried out in order to determine their nutritional value as food for early larval stages of sea bass (D. labrax). The survival rate, total length and body weight of fish larvae fed with nauplii of the different species of copepods are compared among them and data obtained when fish were fed Brachionus plicatilis. The suitability of copepods for large-scale culture and use in aquaculture is discussed.
