Description
Data products were established based on (1) hyper-spatial mobile terrestrial laser scanning (MTLS) surveys and (2) simultaneous image-based modelling through UAV photogrammetry of the beach topography at low-tide near Groenendijk beach on 31 October and 14 November '18. A special service vehicle (SSV) equipped with a closely-coupled laser scanner, GNSS and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) provided a dense point cloud of the inter- and supratidal beach topography (> 500 pts./m²) and vertical accuracies of ± 2,5 cm. SfM-MVS processing of UAV acquired imagery in combination with precise ground control measurements resulted in a dense point cloud (> 250 pts./m²) and orthoimage of the inter- and supratidal beach topography with vertical accuracies of ± 2 cm.
